Michael grinned as she moved to wrap her arms around his shoulders. He moved closer easily, his eyes meeting hers and he had such a wide grin on his face. “And I’m lucky to have you as well, Selene.” He was so happy with her, happy to be having a chance at this new life with Selene and their currently unborn child. His moved and pressed a light kiss to her lips. “So much has happened with us, and we’ve pushed through it. We’ve made it to this point. We’ve escaped for a while, and you and I have a child on the way.”
much has changed in their time together. they left the land that caused them so much pain and suffering, changed themselves to fit in to normal society ( her more so than michael ), but it’s paid off in the end. ❛ and our baby is all we need to worry about now. all of that is behind us — we never have to deal with it again. ❜ selene steals his lips in a kiss this time, but it’s a quick and content one. ❛ maybe we can even give this baby a sibling one day… ❜ brown orbs settle on his lighter ones, smile growing once more.
