“In a few hours. Okay.”
He smiled, saying no more about it. Thomas should have known better than to ask, but there were times when he spoke before thinking. The things he knew about Selene could fit a single page of his notebook, but maybe that was just enough. He was a HUMAN in a world of vampires and Lycans. Most would have ended his life to survive, but she’d taken him in and allowed him access to her world. It was more than he deserved or expected, really. He dusted himself off and dropped his defensive stance, thinking that he could take a few hours’ break to read some more. It was still too early to sleep, anyway.
“I’ll be in my room if you or anyone else needs…something.”
truly she’s impressed thomas is so ready to train still, for most humans tire after only an hour or two of such strenuous training. he’s determined, and for that selene can’t help but to understand his dedication to attempting to be half as strong as her… though even that is a difficult feat to attain. ❛ a few hours it is. i expect you to seek me out, though. i will not come looking for you. ❜ if he is to prove himself, then he must take initiative in his training. ❛ now rest. ❜ she waves him off, turning away instead to pretend she’s focusing on other things… it’s rather hard to do, given their small space in the abandoned building they currently reside in.
