Eve takes her offered arm in hand gently, lips brushing over her skin delicately before she bites down. Instantly she’s hit by an onslaught of memories, nearly overwhelming her for a moment. But she soon finds her way, navigating through her mother’s memories. When she reaches the news of her father’s death, the hybrid girl recoils with tears running down her face (tears that the cold is quick to freeze to her face, immortalizing her grief).

“He’s….he’s gone? But I thought….I thought hybrids couldn’t be killed. Michael…survived a metal pipe through his heart. Why did that kill him?” She wants–no, she needs to know how such a thing is possible.

reliving it all is difficult for selene, and the following sadness that comes over her daughter at the news of her father’s death is nearly overwhelming. tears fall down the vampire elder’s cheeks just as they do eve’s, and for a few, long seconds, she says nothing. lower lip quivers as pout parts, her chin lifting before she’s shaking her head.   ❛ i do not know. marius — he drained him of his blood, but i don’t understand how… how michael is gone. ❜   the hybrid had endured much worse, but it’s impossible to get an answer now. hand lifting and then extending, selene caresses her daughter’s cheek delicately, even trying to wipe away the tears.   ❛ i thought i had lost you, too. ❜   in the sense that eve would never return to her, that she’d be nearly alone for the rest of her life.
