DAVID ELDERSBLOODED.

David glances up as he heard the knock, watching as the door slid open even before he could call out a reply. He didn’t mind however, as it was Selene and not someone else. As long as it was her, it was fine. He sighed at her words, his eyes moving back toward the glass, staring out over the courtyard outside. He shook his head, “…Maybe…I’m not suited to the title I’ve been given.” he confessed softly. His words filled with pondering thought and insecurity. He turned more fully then, to give the other his full attention. “I’m twenty five years old Selene, a sliver to your a thousand years. I haven’t even lived a full human span of life…how could I be a true elder…when I have no idea what it is to live truly as an immortal?” he spoke steadily, but it was more than obvious it had all been thought over for some time.

a part of selene has expected this topic to come up sooner or later, and because of that she’s been able to somewhat prepare herself. gaze falling briefly as her arms cross over her chest, she’ll walk further into the room and eventually meet david’s gaze as his attention is turned fully to her.   ❛ you have also seen so much more than even the council has seen… you’ve put your own life on the line more than any of them have, david. that is why you’ve been appointed an elder. ❜   comforting someone has never been one of selene’s strong suits, but many things have changed since she’d learned of her daughter.   ❛ and just as you question why you’ve been given this title, so do i. i’ve betrayed this coven many times over. ❜   or rather, she’d betrayed the coven in their eyes, but had simply been doing what no one else would, and for all the right reasons.   ❛ there is a reason for everything, david. you have experienced so much already, and that experience will only build with time. ❜
